ALOC Meeting Reminder Oct. 14th at 1:30 PM

ALOC meets Saturday, Oct. 14th, at noon at Beardall Senior Center, 800 S. Delaney Ave, Orlando.

Agenda:

  • General Meeting beings 1:30 PM
  • General Announcements, 50 / 50, Social Activities, Brunch Pot Luck (bring some food to share, there will be some soft drinks and coffee.

October’s Demonstration:

Chauncey Nelson, Watercolor / Fellow ALOC Member

Chauncey will demonstrate unusual watercolor and related techniques. He is a Signature member of the Gold Coast Watercolor Soc. and Signature member of Florida Watercolor Society. Originally from Nebraska, he received a BS from U. of Nebraska after 5 years in Navy active duty. He attended the Chouinard Art Institute in California, and has exhibited award winning paintings in galleries and Juried art festivals, such as Best of Show in Miami Watercolor Society, Gold Coast Watercolor Society, and in Florida Watercolor Society.
 

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT:

ALOC has been in existence for close to 64 years, in order for ALOC to continue we need people to step up and volunteer their time.  In December of 2017 the current board will be have severed their term and we will need people to replace them.  Here is an over view what is needed.
 
The Executive Board consists of 4 Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer and 3 Directors appointed by the President. All serve a two year term. Officers may not be re-elected to the same office consecutively with the exception of the Treasurer.

Duties:

 
President: The President shall preside at all meetings, shall exercise general supervision over the affairs and activities of the club; and shall serve as advisor on all standing Committees.
Vice President: shall assume the duties of President during the absence of the President.
Secretary: shall record the minutes of all meetings, be the custodian of all club records and shall conduct all correspondence.
Treasurer: shall manage all funds and disperse moneys as ordered by the Executive Board.
Three Directors shall be appointed by the President every two years from the current membership. They will meet with the Officers of the club to formulate plans and procedures. These 3 members, together with the officers of the club, shall constitute the Executive Board.
